After being frustrated at available Contest Logging software on the market and how they support the two MARAC contest, if at all, I decided to develop one of my own. This Contest program will handle FIXED, MOBILE and the new MIXED Category I make no guarantees or warranties on this software. In fact I’m not sure if I’ll ever finish it the way I would like to see it.

This is my first attempt at a Window base program. This application is written in Visual Basic 6 using only text (.txt) type files. All the data is kept in memory except that each QSO is written out to disk as well as kept in memory. Keeping the data in memory was my solution to keeping the performance to a maximum. Each time the program is re-started it will go through and reload the logged contacts into memory and bring the state of the contest back to the point it was at when it was shut down. It’s been a real learning curve for me but it was worth it.

There will be other functions added as I get time to developed them. ANY suggestion, recommendation or criticism would be greatly appreciated. My intentions are not to sell this application. It’s free to anyone to use it at their own peril. I use AVG for anti-virus protection and run scans everyday.
